Haley J. VanFleteren maintains a civil litigation and appellate practice. She is also actively engaged in leadership positions in the local bar association and on a statewide level representing the First Circuit on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors.
Haley earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as an editor on the Law & Psychology Review, competed in intramural sports, and worked as a research assistant. She researched diverse areas of law ranging from juvenile justice reform to constitutional issues regarding police use of deadly force. Haley also interned with the Honorable L. Scott Coogler, a U.S. District Court Judge in the Northern District of Alabama. Through that opportunity, she gained invaluable experience in federal court.
Prior to attending law school, Haley was a college athlete and a student in the Honors College at her undergraduate university. For her honors thesis, she conducted a study on her college campus that analyzed the connection between students’ levels of physical activity and their academic success. After graduation, a condensed version of her thesis was published in the National Forum Journals.
Haley J. VanFleteren has been a part of Moore, Hill & Westmoreland, P.A. since 2017.
